Gas suppliers

What to do if you have a gas complaint

You can contact EWON for help with any complaint about a reticulated gas supplier in New South Wales. Unfortunately, we can only help consumers supplied with gas through a piped or underground network.

If you have a complaint against a bottled gas company, please contact the NSW Office of Fair Trading for advice and assistance.

Generally, we would expect you to have tried to sort out your gas complaint with your supplier first. Before contacting your gas supplier, have a look at some of our tips for dealing with your supplier and read your rights and obligations.

Many gas suppliers also have programs to assist customers in financial difficulty manage their bills more effectively. See help with payment difficulty for an overview of these programs or contact your supplier for further information.

Who is your supplier?

Gas consumers in NSW can sign an energy contract with any of a range of different authorised suppliers. See energy competition for information on how this works.

Please note that reticulated gas is not available in many areas in NSW. Even if you are connected to the gas network, not all these companies may offer gas in your area. For a complete list of licenced gas suppliers visit IPART's website.
