Mob Matters campaign launched
This week we launched Mob Matters, our new campaign with comedian Sean Choolburra, to increase awareness of energy and water issues among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.
Aboriginal people can be particularly disadvantaged when it comes to energy and water and billing and affordability are common issues that we see through our casework.
The campaign will run throughout 2020, and will focus on three key themes:
- energy savings
- minimising debt
- available support.
We've printed a range of postcards and posters to distribute at our outreach events and through community organisations and will be running community service announcements on radio and sharing campaign messages on social media using the hastag #mobmatters.
