The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) have reported today that nearly a million customers on standing offers have seen savings to their electricity bills since 1 July.
Their August 2019 electricity market report, shows that households have seen average savings of between $130 and $430 a year, since electricity pricing reforms came into effect on 1 July 2019. The reforms were based on recommendations from the ACCC’s Retail Electricity Pricing Inquiry report.
This is good news for standing offers customers, but as the report highlights, standing offers aren't always the best deal. Read the full ACCC media release.
