Free solar systems for low-income households

The NSW Government’s Solar Low Income Households scheme helps eligible households access affordable clean energy. Under the scheme, Concession Card or Department of Veterans’ Affairs Gold Card holders in selected NSW locations could have a 3-kilowatt solar system installed in their home for free. The solar system can cut household electricity bills by up to $600—more than double the Low Income Household Rebate of $285 a year. 

Customers can learn more about the Solar Low Income Households scheme, decide if solar is the right choice for them, and apply online on the NSW Government Energy Saver website.
