EWON launches campaign to support Multicultural communities in NSW
August 2025
"Everyone needs electricity, but many people in my community are concerned about energy costs. Speaking another language makes it more difficult to understand the bill, let alone find help.” Frankie, campaign advisor and member of the Cantonese community
The Energy & Water Ombudsman NSW (EWON) has launched You’re Not Alone, a campaign aimed at increasing awareness of our free, fair, and independent dispute resolution services among multicultural and multilingual communities across New South Wales.
The initiative, developed in collaboration with a Multicultural Community Advisory Board, features videos, factsheets, postcards and social media tiles in Arabic, Cantonese, Mandarin, Hindi, and Korean, showcasing community members discussing how they use energy and water at home.
You’re Not Alone aims to raise awareness of EWON’s services within culturally diverse households and highlights that free, in-language support is available for customers when they call EWON.
